Pink Tourmaline is the newer October birthstone. The original birthstone would be the Opal. Tourmaline is also given to celebrate the 8th wedding anniversary.
Pink Tourmaline is considered one of the most popular tourmaline gems. They may contrast in color, but the ideal color is pure bright pink. Tourmaline also comes in an emerald green “chrome” and the neon green and blue-to-violet “paraiba”, or red rubellites.
