Description
Turquoise is one of the three birthstones of December. All of the December birthstones have their own unique take on the color blue.
Turquoise is usually an intense blue and green color. It is a semi-translucent to opaque gem that often has veins of matrix (remnants of the rock which it is formed) running through it.
This stone is also the gem of the 11th wedding anniversary.
The other December birthstones are Tanzanite and Zircon.
