Opal

Description

Opal is often used as one of the birthstones for October.  It is also given to celebrate the 14th wedding anniversary.

Did you know an opal is formed from rain?  As water runs down through the earth, it collects silicon deposits and then seems into the cracks of rocks.  Once the water evaporates, a silica deposit will turn into an opal.

There are endless color combinations and beautiful coloring to the Opal.
